Jonas loves this.

We made blondies last night as an after dinner treat. This was probably the easiest baked good to make. I followed the directions at Simply Recipes.  I used chocolate chips (because that is all we had on hand). Next time I will try peanut-butter chips instead for Vin..and try cutting down on the sugar(as it was really sweet).   I recommend trying this one.

It was a beautiful day yesterday so I decided to take Jake and Jonas to the “fire truck park”. We had a picnic lunch and Jake spent a good hour exploring all the equipment. It has been a rough winter for him not getting out to play.  We had a wonderful day together and were grateful for the pleasant break in  the winter season. There was a photographer from the local paper at the park and she got a few pictures of the kids playing.  She got a great shot of Jake, but I regretfully had to be in the background. (This sadly isn’t the first time I had a terrible picture in the paper  ..There’s the infamous waiting in line for fish dinner image ) I’ll be sure to take the boys back to this park in the spring. I also hear there are blueberry patches for the community to pick from in the woods surrounding the park’s lake.
